Hyderabad: BTech Student Dies of Cardiac Arrest During College Cricket Match

Hyderabad: A 22-year-old final-year BTech student from Khammam district died after suffering a cardiac arrest while participating in a cricket match held at CMR College in Medchal on Friday.

The incident occurred during an inter-departmental tournament organised on the college grounds. According to sources, the student, whose identity has been withheld pending family confirmation, collapsed on the field mid-match. Onlookers and teammates immediately rushed to his aid.

He was shifted to a nearby hospital in critical condition, where doctors declared him brought dead. Preliminary reports indicate a sudden cardiac arrest as the cause of death.

The incident has sent shockwaves across the student community. Several classmates and faculty members described him as an active and cheerful individual with no known health concerns. Many students witnessed the tragic event unfold and are said to be deeply traumatised.
