Kavitha Slams Congress Govt Over Crop Damage, Demands ₹20,000 per Acre for Affected Farmers

Khammam | April 21, 2025: BRS leader and MLC K Kavitha launched a sharp attack on the Congress-led Telangana government, accusing Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy of ignoring the widespread crop damage caused by hailstorms and untimely rains.
During her tour in Khammam district, Kavitha expressed outrage that the government had not conducted any proper review of the agricultural losses. This, despite the region being represented by a Deputy Chief Minister and two Ministers.
“Farmers are suffering. Paddy is soaked. Mango crops are destroyed. Yet there is no action, no accountability,” said Kavitha.
She demanded a compensation of ₹20,000 per acre for all affected farmers, calling the situation unprecedented and reflective of the Congress government’s failure to respond to rural distress.
“Congress stages protests across India for Sonia and Rahul Gandhi but has no time to address Telangana’s farmers,” she added.
Kavitha also criticized the poor condition of government hospitals, the unfulfilled promises under the Rythu Bharosa scheme, and the delay in loan waivers, accusing the government of failing to implement even a single welfare scheme effectively.
She urged people to question local officials and Congress leaders directly, demanding transparency and immediate relief measures.
