Mumbai | April 21, 2025: Malayalam cinema icon Mohanlal experienced what he called a “moment too profound for words” after receiving a personally signed Argentina jersey from global football legend Lionel Messi.
Taking to Instagram, the Drishyam actor shared a video of Messi autographing the jersey, followed by Mohanlal proudly flaunting the gift—clearly moved by the gesture.
“As I gently unwrapped the gift, my heart skipped a beat—a jersey signed by the legend himself, Lionel Messi. And there it was… my name, written in his own hand,” Mohanlal wrote.
The actor went on to praise Messi not only for his football brilliance but also for his humility and grace, calling the signed jersey a “truly special” memento.
Mohanlal also thanked Dr. Rajeev Mangottil and Rajesh Philip, two close friends who made the gift possible.
“This incredible moment wouldn’t have been possible without the kindness of two dear friends… Thank you from the bottom of my heart,” he added.
