Hyderabad student booked for criticising Operation Sindoor

In Hyderabad, a second-year BBA student from a private college in Champapet has been booked for allegedly posting pro-Pakistan content and criticising India’s military operation, Operation Sindoor, on social media platforms.

The student reportedly shared an Instagram story with the phrase “Pakistan Zindabad” and raised doubts about the Pahalgam terror incident, where 26 tourists were killed in Kashmir on April 22.

Additionally, she allegedly posted comments on WhatsApp criticising India and expressing views that support Pakistan, while spreading hate against India.

The college management, upon being informed by staff and students, lodged a complaint with the IS Sadan police. The student has been suspended pending further investigation.

This incident has sparked protests from various organisations demanding the student’s dismissal and legal action.

The case highlights the ongoing tensions and sensitivities surrounding national security and freedom of expression in India.
