Australian Delegation Explores Skill Development Partnerships in Hyderabad
Hyderabad: A 19-member delegation from Australia’s Future Skills sector visited Hyderabad on Friday to explore potential collaborations in the fields of technology, green economy, and infrastructure skilling. The delegation represented 13 leading Australian institutions offering vocational and industry-led training.
Organised by the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade), the visit aims to strengthen bilateral cooperation in skill development and build partnerships with Indian educational institutions, corporate training providers, and government agencies. The Hyderabad leg is part of a broader multi-city initiative that began in New Delhi on April 1 with the launch of the Australia India Skills Summit 2025 and will also include a visit to Ahmedabad.
“Australia has a global reputation for delivering world-class vocational education and training, designed in consultation with industry,” said Vik Singh, Trade and Investment Commissioner at Austrade. “This visit serves as a platform to exchange best practices and co-develop innovative approaches to future-ready skill ecosystems.”
Australia’s skills sector comprises a diverse mix of public TAFEs, dual-sector universities, private training organisations, edtech platforms, and enterprise-level providers, all of which participated in the visit.
Officials noted that the interaction in Hyderabad focused on creating two-way market literacy, fostering strategic collaboration, and identifying joint training initiatives that align with both nations’ evolving workforce requirements.
