Telangana Minister Appeals for Karimnagar-Tirupati Daily Train Service

Civil Supplies Minister Gangula Kamalakar has urged the Centre to sanction a daily train between Karimnagar and Tirupati.
He made the appeal during a meeting with South Central Railway officials in Hyderabad.
The minister highlighted rising pilgrim traffic from north Telangana to Tirumala.
Kamalakar said such a train would greatly benefit devotees, students, and workers.
Currently, passengers must depend on indirect or connecting trains.
He requested a morning departure from Karimnagar and return the next day.
South Central Railway officials assured they would forward the proposal to the Railway Board.
The request has also been supported by MLAs from Warangal and Khammam.
Kamalakar said the initiative aligns with Telangana’s growing connectivity focus.
The ministry plans to follow up the proposal with a formal memorandum.
