Jr NTR Confirms ‘Devara 2’ is Happening, Clears Doubts Over Sequel’s Future
Jr NTR, who has been making waves with his high-profile projects, recently reassured fans that the sequel to Devara is still very much in the works. The actor addressed concerns about the film’s future during a success meet of his latest hit Mad Square. While there were rumors suggesting that Devara Part 2 might be delayed due to his packed schedule, Jr NTR cleared the air and confirmed that the film is not shelved.
The actor, who took a six-year hiatus before taking the lead role in Devara Part 1, also has a slew of exciting projects lined up. One of the most anticipated is his role as the antagonist in War 2, starring alongside Hrithik Roshan. The film is set to release on August 14, 2025. Jr NTR is also working on Dragon, directed by Prashanth Neel, which is expected to hit the screens in 2026.
Addressing the uncertainty around Devara 2, Jr NTR told the crowd at the Mad Square event, “I know there have been voices suggesting that Devara Part 2 won’t happen, but I want to assure you all that it will certainly happen. There are just a few other commitments that need to be addressed first, including my work with Prashanth Neel. Once that’s done, we will dive into Devara 2.”
In addition to his film commitments, Jr NTR also spoke about an exciting project with Sithara Entertainments’ Naga Vamsi, sparking curiosity among fans.
Meanwhile, Hrithik Roshan, in a recent interview, was asked about his favorite co-star, to which he immediately replied, “Jr NTR. We’ve done something special together, and I can’t wait for everyone to see what we’ve created. War 2 is coming on August 14.”
With Dragon set for a 2026 release and War 2 being his only release in 2025, Jr NTR’s fans are eagerly awaiting what promises to be an exciting year for the actor.
