The love story of Divya Bharti and Sajid Nadiadwala remains one of Bollywood’s most poignant and talked-about tales. Their whirlwind romance, secret marriage, and the actress’s untimely demise have captivated fans and media alike.
Divya Bharti, a rising star in the early ’90s, met producer Sajid Nadiadwala during the filming of Shola Aur Shabnam. Their bond grew quickly, and within 10 months, they decided to marry. However, their love faced societal and familial challenges due to their different religions.

Despite the secrecy, Divya continued to live with her parents and kept the marriage hidden for several months. It was only during Diwali that Sajid visited her family to announce their union .
Tragically, less than a year later, on April 5, 1993, Divya Bharti died after falling from her fifth-floor apartment balcony in Mumbai. The circumstances surrounding her death remain a topic of speculation and mystery.
Sajid Nadiadwala, deeply affected by her loss, later found love again with journalist Warda Khan, whom he married in 2000. Together, they have two sons .
