Israeli Airstrikes Across Gaza Kill 103, Hospitals and Medics Report

In a devastating escalation of the ongoing conflict, Israeli airstrikes across the Gaza Strip
have resulted in the deaths of at least 103 individuals, according to reports from hospitals and
medical personnel. The overnight bombardments have further strained the already
overwhelmed healthcare infrastructure in the region.
The southern city of Khan Younis witnessed significant casualties, with Nasser Hospital
reporting over 48 fatalities, including 18 children and 13 women. Many of the victims were
displaced individuals seeking shelter in tents and residential structures. In northern Gaza’s
Jabaliya refugee camp, airstrikes led to the deaths of multiple family members, including
children, as residential buildings were targeted.
The intensified military operations have forced the closure of key medical facilities, notably
the Indonesian Hospital in northern Gaza, due to direct hits and safety concerns. The closure
of such vital institutions exacerbates the humanitarian crisis, leaving countless individuals
without access to essential medical care.
These recent attacks are part of Israel’s broader military campaign aimed at pressuring Hamas
into releasing hostages and dismantling its operations. However, the high civilian toll has
drawn international concern and calls for restraint. The conflict, ongoing since October 2023,
has resulted in over 53,000 Palestinian deaths, according to health authorities in Gaza.
As the situation deteriorates, humanitarian organizations urge immediate action to protect
civilians and ensure the delivery of essential aid. The international community continues to
monitor the developments closely, advocating for a ceasefire and the resumption of peace
negotiations.
